INITIAL CONSULTATIONS
We offer a free one-hour initial consultation to those whose family members* have been arrested and detained.
* “Family member” is defined as relatives to the second degree i.e. Spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren and siblings.
In other situations, we charge a flat fee of 10,000 yen + tax an hour to consult personally with our attorneys specializing in criminal defense.
GETTING PREPARED
Most law firms in Japan offer a 30 minute consultation at a fee roughly half of what we have. We however, feel that 30 minutes is not adequate to cover all your worries and have therefore standardized all our consultations to one hour.
To get the most out of your one hour consultation, it may be favorable to have your thoughts organized and laid out on a piece of paper. Get the what, when, who, where, why and how sorted so that you don’t waste your precious talk time in the consultation room.
However, we are fully aware that arrests or criminal involvement can come suddenly and that there is absolutely no time to be prepared. In fact, in most cases, being organized is the last thing you want to do. No worries, we can get the facts and situation sorted in the consultation.
We do of course, welcome extended or second consultations when you feel the need the for extra time.
